FOOD PANTRY AND PANTRY GARDEN
Over the past two decades, the Kountze Memorial Lutheran Church Food Pantry has grown into a guest-choice pantry, where more than 70 volunteers serve over 3,000 guests per month. Over 40% of our guests are children. The Pantry’s mission is simple: feed anyone who comes through the door. The gracious and generous donations by the Kountze congregation whether it be time, talent, or treasure continues to bless our hungry neighbors in need. Here, all are welcome.
Come and be filled.
Hours of Operation:
Mondays, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Fridays, 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Volunteer
The Food Pantry can always use more volunteers. Help is needed during pantry hours, shopping, picking up bakery goods, and working in the community garden. If you would like to help you may continue to sign up in Meeting Room A in the Fellowship Hall or at the following link: https://form.jotform.com/200834787701155
Donate
The Pantry receives food free of charge from the Food Bank for the Heartland, and purchases food from other sources using your generous donations. Monetary donations marked “Kountze Food Pantry” can be mailed to the church or placed in the offering plate. If you prefer to shop, the following items are always appreciated: cereal, oats, canned meat, canned fruit, canned pasta sauce, pasta, macaroni and cheese in a box, pork and beans, soup, peanut butter, and squeeze bottle jelly.
Community Garden
During the summer months, the Food Pantry needs volunteers to pick, sort and transport produce from our Community Garden to Kountze Memorial. If interested, please contact the Church Office. God Bless all our donors and volunteers!
