WEDNESDAY EUCHARIST

Wednesday Noon Eucharist at Kountze Memorial Church

A Wednesday Eucharist is offered each week at 12:15 p.m. in the Rotunda. This brief retreat from the work-a-day world for spiritual refreshment is available to everyone:  people working in the city, folks from the neighborhood, and members of the congregation whose schedules permit.

These services will have a particular focus. On page 15 of our Evangelical Lutheran Worship, the “Calendar of Lesser Festivals and Commemorations” notes, for example, that the day to celebrate St. Patrick, bishop and missionary to Ireland is, of course, March 17. There are scores of Christian heroes and events in the history of the faith to commemorate, from the Conversion of St. Paul to Martin Luther King, Jr., from Holy Cross Day to the Presentation of the Augsburg Confession. A commemoration that falls on or close to each Wednesday will provide the theme for the day. Prayers, scripture, a short reflection, and communion will mark this meditative service.

You are warmly invited to join us!
