Creighton University Chorus sings John Rutter’s Requiem at Kountze. Creighton University Chorus under the direction of Kountze
member Stephen Sheftz will sing John’s Rutter’s Requiem on Sunday evening, February 28th at 7:00 p.m. at
Kountze Memorial Lutheran Church. Featured instrumentalists will include
organist Jeremy Bankson, Associate Minister of Music at First-Plymouth
Congregational Church; oboist Darcy Gamerl, a member of Creighton’s music
faculty; and Omaha Symphony cellist, Rachel Means. Creighton voice teacher
Diane Owens will be the soprano soloist.
The 40+ member University Chorus is one
of three choral ensembles at Creighton University. A non-audition
ensemble, the singers perform music from all periods of history, representing a
wide variety of compositional styles.
The concert is free and open to the public; however, a
free-will offering will be accepted. We hope that you will join us for this
Lenten offering.
