Christian Education Committee
The Christian Education Committee provides Christ-centered nurturing for all generations. Activities include Rotation Sunday School, Wednesday Night Live Confirmation classes, Advent and Lenten Gatherings, Mid-Summer Nights activities, Adult Bible Study, the Nursery, and much more.
Congregational Activities Committee
The Congregational Activities Committee provides gatherings for fellowship and fun in the name of Christ and provides opportunities to get to know other Kountze members better. Activities include the Neighborhood Gathering in June, an Old-Fashioned Church Picnic in August, a Thanksgiving Dinner at the Park East Tower in downtown Omaha and a Thanksgiving Dinner in Fellowship Hall for members of Kountze who would otherwise be alone.
Congregational Outreach Committee

The Outreach Committee continues its mission to promote the growth of Kountze Memorial Lutheran Church. Their projects include the New Member classes, newspaper advertising, the Hospitality Center, the Neighborhood Gathering and the Congregational Picnic.
Finance Committee
The Finance Committee works closely with the pastors and the Church Council on the church's Annual Budget.
Global Mission Committee
The Global Mission Committee oversees our worship, growth and service in the world. Click HERE for more information on our global outreach activities.
Health Ministry Committee
The Health Ministry Committee promotes the wholistic health of the congregation. They work closely with the Parish Nurse Vinn Stephens to develop programs related to improving our body, mind and spirit. They organize Adult Forum topics on health-related issues, offer Tai Chi classes, flu shot clinics and walking programs, among many other activities.
Media Ministry

The Kountze Memorial Lutheran Church media ministry has been operating from our church TV studio for more than 25 years. Our 9:00 a.m. Sunday service is televised live each week on Cox Cable Channel 2 every Sunday.
Property Committee
The Property Committee oversees the upkeep of the physical church building to ensure that future generations will be able to continue to worship at Kountze Memorial Lutheran Church.
Social Ministry

In addition to helping with the Kountze Food Pantry, the Neighborhood Gathering and the Old-Fashioned Church Picnic, the Social Ministry committee participates in a number of local outreach activities, including cooking a meal the second Tuesday of each month at the Stephen Center, a homeless shelter in downtown Omaha; providing lunch to volunteers helping with the Habitat for Humanity building blitz; coordinating the Christmas Project Exchange in December through Together, Inc., and more.
The Social Ministry Committee also participates in the annual CROP Walk in October. The CROP Hunger Walk is neighbors walking together to take a stand against hunger in
our world. Together we raise awareness and funds for international relief
and development, as well as local hunger-fighting. For more information, click HERE.
Stewardship Committee
Stewardship, in service and financial support, provides for worship, educational and community outreach programs at Kountze, as well as support of state and national church bodies. The goal of the committee is to encourage the stewardship ministry of the congregation to accomplish God's mission through the church and our daily lives.
Technology Committee
The Technology Committee oversees the computer and technology issues of Kountze, including computer maintenance and oversight of the Kountze website.
Worship and Music Committee
The Worship and Music Committee schedules and plans the weekly worship services. Through the assistance and participation of the Altar Guild, Order of Saint John, ushers, greeters, lectors, eucharistic ministers, Bell Choir members and the Kountze Choir, the committee strives to provide spiritual and meaningful weekly and special services throughout the year.
Youth Committee
The Youth Committee oversees the Youth Ministry at Kountze. The committee works with Director of Youth and Young Adults Ian Hartfield to develop an exceptional youth program at Kountze.
