Kountze Memorial Lutheran Church is a "city-wide church with a world-wide mission." Some of our world outreach programs include:

• Missionary support is provided to the following:  Ted and Janey Zimmerman in Hong Kong; JMe and Bob Lowden in Tanzania; and Kate Lawler & David Wursch in Argentina and Uruguay.

• Fair Trade products are sold the first Sunday of each month between services in Fellowship Hall (and on the previous Saturday night following the service). Coffee, tea, cocoa and chocolate are some of the products sold. Fair  Trade assures consumers that the products purchased were purchased under fair conditions. For more information, click here.

• The Alternative Gifts program at Christmastime provides more than $6,000 worth of life-saving gifts to help people provide for their own families and future.

• Support for the Contact and Resource Center (or CRC) in Lebanon. This group was founded in 1978 to help meet the needs of victims of Lebanon's civil war. The CRC has grown into an institution that works mainly to help the disabled families who have disabled children.

• Support for the Zahanati Program, which works with three medical clinics in Tanzania. These clinics are the only source of medical care for most of the population in the area. The Zahanati Program is a partnership between the Northern Diocese in Tanzania, Alegant Health and the Nebraska Synod of the ELCA.
