The music ministry at Kountze Memorial has a long tradition of being a vital and vibrant aspect of the worship services. It provides opportunities for all age groups to share the gospel of Jesus Christ while utilizing interests and talents in singing or ringing hand bells. The music ministry also provides an excellent source of Christian fellowship. Kountze is blessed with a 47 rank Aeolian Skinner pipe organ, which leads the congregation during worship services. Professional brass quintets and string quartets also enhance festive worship services.

Adult Choir

The adult choirs are open to all adult singers who can "match pitch." The ability to "read" music is not required. Singers are asked to have good worship attendance and be punctual for rehearsals. In addition to the regular Sunday worship services, the choirs provide anthems for the mid-week Lenten season, with a special choral offering during the Good Friday Service. The singers also provide choral anthems for Christmas Eve and Easter morning services. During the summer months, the worship anthem is provided by vocal soloists or small choral ensembles. The choirs enjoy fellowship and eating as much as singing. With their appetites in mind, the choirs plan three yearly choir feasts.

9:00 Adult Choir: This group sings weekly from late August to mid June. Rehearsals precede the services beginning at 7:45 a.m. Additional rehearsals are held on the first Wednesday of the month, 7:00-8:30 p.m.

11:00 Adult Choir: This group sings weekly from late August to mid June. Rehearsals precede the services beginning at 10:00 a.m. Additional rehearsals are held on the first Wednesday of the month, 7:00-8:30 p.m.
